Plan your visit Saint-Fargeau Castle

Like many French sites Saint-Fargeau Castle is closed during lunchtime 12.00 – 14.00 h. This means you have to plan your visit around these hours. If you are planning to visit the History show you can visit the castle in the afternoon so you can than go to the park afterwards, bring your picnic  and enjoy the show after your meal. The show will begin around 22:30 h. on Friday and Saturday nights in July and August and lasts for 1.30 hours.

You can combine your visit with visiting Guedelon, the building site of a medieval castle in the same area. A good way to spend the two hours is actually having lunch in the lovely medieval centre of Saint-Fargeau.

It is also possible to take a ride in a stagecoach around the Castle’s Park.
